week 1

we were able to successfully set up a meeting with the people we need, however not everything we needed got confirmed .It took a few days to gain the information we needed from the guys such as when Jamzs music can be released. Overall this was a huge start to our project and by the end of the week we were happy with what we had accomplished.

week 2

This was a very useful technique as it taught me a lot and gave me multiple ideas to put towards my own project. I was able to successfully educate myself on promotion.

week 3

I enjoyed the process of making these social media accounts, it did take a while but i got it done. i added our logo to each of the accounts so we become recognisable.

week 4

This was the week we started our practical work, at the beginning it was very much trial and error, but eventually figured out what works for our brand. we started to gain views however didn't increase much in followers. in one of our videos we posted we have almost 700 views. On the stories we most our veiws range from 30 to 150.

week 5

overall this was the most important week as it was a set up the the music releases and if we didn't have promotion people wouldn't see the music we released.

week 6

This was the final week when we uploaded the music so it was what all the promotion had been for. After we uploaded it we just had to sit back and look at the views and see if we received any feedback.

overall

For this project the aim was to gain a following on our social media platforms to then post and promote music made by our friends from college. We were able to successfully create multiple social media accounts however the following we gained wasn't up to a standard that we wanted it to be. I then uploaded 'emotional war' to soundcloud. From here i then finally uploaded 'emotional war' to our youtube account, this has only had 33 views in 6 days. the reason i feel that there hasn't been a successful out come of this is because we didn't post any promotion to our youtube account so no one new it excised until the day of the upload. Overall i feel that the outcome of this project didn't go exactly to plan, however it taught me a lot about promotion and in future i will be able to do this better as i have learnt from it.
