-What are your current sills, talents and experiences?

I currently am a confident and talkative person, being friendly comes naturally to me. I have worked jobs in the past where I needed to have good customer which is where I was able to develop my people skills.

Jena - I have been managing customer service for an online health supplement. This includes dealing with shipping etc.. also customer complaints.

Ellie - I worked in a pub meaning i was working close with colleges and customers.

-What are your ambitions?

I am in this course to help develop my skills and experiences to become an artist manager, I eventually would like to be a tour manager for the artist I manager.

-What are the skills you need to develop?

I need to gain more knowledge on how to control an artist and the information to be able to boost their music to a position where it should be. Organisation is a huge factor to becoming an artist manager as i have a huge responsibility, this is why I need to improve this skill.

1 years time my goal is to have highly archived my 1st year on this music management course.

5 years time my goal is to have moved on to university

My 10 year goal is to be working successfully either doing radio work or managing artists.

To progress in this industry I will need to work around in teams or work with artists to gain key information.

Research

Tony Blackburn opened Radio 1 on 30 September 1967 at 7.0 a.m

Radio 1 opened with an entirely male lineup of presenters. Women were nowhere to be seen until 1969 when Annie Nightingale shook up the station.

23 July 1973, the first Radio 1 Roadshow. The station arrived in Newquay, and then toured across more than 50 venues a year until 1999.

The Ranking Miss P (aka Margaret Anderson) was the first black female DJ on Radio 1.

Fast forward to 2019 where there are well known radio hosts such as maya jama

The reason why I chose to research radio 1 is because I have a huge interest in getting into radio and this is my prefered one.
